Issue:
What are the ways to format or reset an APC by Schneider Electric Network Management Card (NMC) back to defaults or factory settings?

Product Line:
NMC2 and NMC3 (AP9630, 31, 35 - AP9640, 41, 43)

Answer:

Sometimes issues may render a network management card unusable and/or inaccessible. APC by Schneider Electric provides ways to resolve such issues. A format on an APC by Schneider Electric NMC is a useful procedure in case of the following  :

  2. The password for an APC by Schneider Electric NMC has been lost and/or forgotten.
  3. If an end user wants to reset the card and ALL of its settings permanently to defaults.

A format does not only reset the card but, also attempts to recover from a firmware issue. This procedure is not available on an APC by Schneider Electric NMC 1 (ap9617, ap9618, ap9619) or the legacy ap9606.
