Environment:
NBRK0750, NBWL0755, potentially any firmware

Cause:
While most special characters for the root and superuser password are supported, including % or + in your passwordwill lock you out.
When the password has any of the 2 unsupported special characters, the appliance will accept the password without any error message. However, logging in with the password will prompt an error that the username or password is incorrect.

Resolution:
These special characters !@#$^&*<>?-=./”()|are accepted by the appliance.  Any combination of these characters should work.
If your root or superuser password includes % or +, follow the password reset procedure below.
