- 2G Metered/Switched Rack PDUs (AP84XX, AP86XX, AP88XX, AP89XX).
Environment
- All serial numbers
- Firmware revision v6.5.2 and higher
Cause
- New Firmware functionality was implemented to allow for a quick and user friendly way to download the log, configuration and debug files from a PDU by using a USB drive connected to the NMC's USB port.
- The log, configuration and debug files may be required for review by the technical support team.
Resolution
To download the log, configuration and debug files from a PDU by using a USB flash drive follow the steps explained below:
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the rack PDU NMC. Before performing this step make sure the USB drive is formatted in FAT32.
- Scroll to the Log to Flash option on the display and press the Select button.
- Press the Select button again to export the files to your USB flash drive.
The log, configuration and debug files downloaded from the PDU NMC should look similar to the example below:
