How to generate a new Self Signed SSL Certificate

Product Line:
NetBotz

Environment:
NetBotz using SSL communications

Cause:
The SSL Certificate date is generated based on date and time settings of appliance. When these values are set incorrectly when initial SSL certificate is being generated the only way to change it is to generate new certificate. This can be used for any SSL issue that may require the cert to be recreated.

Resolution:
In order to do this, make sure the date is properly set and then change the hostname, a new self signed certificate will be automatically generated with correct values. The hostname can then be reset to the original if necessary.
