How can I disable/enable the buzzer on my Console Port Server? (AP9303 model only)

The 32 Port Console Port Server has two power supplies. By default, both power supplies must be powered. If one power supply is turned off or loses power, the server will emit a buzzing sound.

In order to disable or enable the buzzer on the 32 Port Console Port Server (part number AP9303), you must log into the device through a shell prompt, such as Terminal, Telnet, or SSH.

Once you are at a shell prompt, type the following to disable the buzzer:
# signal_ras buzzer off

or to enable the buzzer, type the following:

# signal_ras buzzer on

You can also edit the ex_wdt_led.sh file.
Follow these steps:

  1. Edit the file /bin/ex_wdt_led.sh and remove/add the keyword "buzzer" from/to the line: /usr/bin/nice --20 /bin/cy_wdt_led wdt led buzzer
  2. Add /bin/ex_wdt_led.sh into /etc/config_files and execute saveconf.
