Issue:
A customer asks if the Net Shelter CX fans can be controlled remotely.
Product Line:
NetShelter CX
Environment:
All models, all serial numbers.
Cause:
For various reasons the customer may want to reduce fan speed, or turn them on/off.
Resolution:
Using either NetBotz or a Switched Rack PDU you can control a specific port on the NetBotz or PDU. A temperature sensor can also be used to set thresholds for alarms, or to turn outlets on/off. Please contact your APC Representative to design a solution that suits your particular needs.
NetShelter CX fan speed cannot be raised or lowered remotely, but the AR40xxA and AR40xxIA (and all X-options) have a fan booster switch on the rear. This booster switch allows the customer to increase the standard fan speed.
